Who you are actually hiring
I have spent 15 years running events for people who could not afford them to go wrong.
Ten internationally broadcast events a year at the Professional Triathletes Organisation, hospitality programme included. Tudor's guest experience at the Rugby World Cup in Japan. Carlsberg's guest programme across ten host cities at EURO 2016: twenty thousand tickets, seven thousand guests, and 99% of them rating it good or excellent. Champions League finals in Cardiff and Kyiv.
That was done in senior roles at FUSE, CSM and the PTO rather than here, and it is not really the point. The point is that 60 people in a marquee in Hertfordshire holds no surprises for me, and that I have spent a career being the person who has already thought about where the vans park.
What I have built locally is a bench of Hertfordshire suppliers I have worked with and would use again. Marquees, caterers, florists, photographers, people who turn up when they say they will. That is the difference between a party you organised and a party you attended.
